Antonio di Ranverso<\/b>, the <b>Abbey of Santa Maria di Staffarda <\/b>and the <b>Historical Archive<\/b>.<\/p><p>In addition to this immense cultural heritage, the <b>Mauritian Basilica of Turin<\/b>, many other monuments and places of worship, and the intangible components of memory preservation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dcda53a animation_type_block sc_fly_static elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"dcda53a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The history of the Foundation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e40f07 animation_type_block sc_fly_static elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e40f07\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Established with law decree no. 277\/2004 (converted into law no. 4\/2005), the Mauritian Order Foundation is heir to, as well as responsible for, the conservation of cultural assets belonging to the heritage of the <b>Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The Order, born in 1572 at the behest of Emanuele Filiberto, Duke of Savoy, is the result of the merger of the Chivalric and Religious Order of San Maurizio (Ripaille \u2013 Chablais, 1434) and the Order for the Assistance of Lepers of San Lazzaro (Jerusalem, 1090), so that the &#8220;knightly militia&#8221; would turn to &#8220;<i>compassionate offices towards the sick<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Its primary purpose was initially to provide medical assistance to needy people and encourage the spread of the Christian faith.
